Carmel Cottage

The Carmel Cottage is a small guest house located within the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California. The siting of the Cottage away from and above the site of the main house offers privacy. The design strives for restrained and understated elegance of spaces and materials with maximum flexibility of use.

The modest cottage includes a living room, bedroom, bathroom and a kitchenette/utility room.  Several green features were implemented into the project, including blown in insulation, FSC lumber, flooring and decking, low-E windows and recycled content Eurostone countertops.
